Working in pairs you are to create and present a Powerpoint presentation of approximately 5 minutes. Your presentation should include the following slides:
Your slides should only include essential information in BRIEF point form and should definitely not contain full paragraphs of written information. You should NOT just read the information on your slide; the key points listed should only act as prompts to remind you of what you need to say.
- Title slide – this should include the title of your presentation and a picture. A joke or cartoon is a good way to begin.
- Background information on your chosen impact – what is the purpose of process/industry that you are investigating and what purpose does it serve?
- General impacts on ecosystems – what negative effects does this impact have on the environment? This should include any impacts on living organisms, as well as the physical environment.
- Describe in detail the MOST significant problem caused by your chosen impact.
- Solutions – what control measures are currently in place and what other solutions have been proposed to minimise or eliminate the problems caused by your chosen impact. Include any novel solutions that you and your partner may have devised.
