Working in pairs you are to create and present a Powerpoint presentation of approximately 5 minutes. Your presentation should include the following slides:
- Title slide – this should include the title of your presentation and a picture. A joke or cartoon is a good way to begin.
- Background information on your species – a good picture to show morphology, size, lifespan, number and frequency of offspring, diet, etc. A map of their distribution in Austalia should also be included.
- Native habitat – describe the native habitat of your organism including climate, geology, plant life, etc.
- When and where your species was introduced to Australia and the purpose it was initially introduced to serve.
- Ecological impacts that have resulted due to the introduction of your species into Australia.
- Solutions – what control measures are currently in place and what other solutions have been proposed to minimise or eliminate the impacts caused by your chosen species.
